In a nutshell, I've been playing since I was born. I started as a child with the violin but my real passion has become percussion. I studied under various masters, including Nick Rossetti (Time Machine, Andrè Matos of ANGRA) and then continued my studies at the CEMM Academy in Milan, where I also studied ear training, ensemble music and composition with Francesco Di Lenge (Billy Branch, John Patitucci) and Biagio Coppa. Furthermore, I hold a Certificate in drum, percussion, music theory and ear-training from Res School.

I played professionally with several bands and artists, among them Ara, two times regional winners of Rock Targato Italia and first prize at Scorribande 1999. Afterwards, I started to be interested in the production and management of artistic projects, founding a small label that lasted as long as the internet made traditional music labels useless. My biggest project is called NonMiPiaceIlCirco!

The first album was released in 2004 and my project will last for exactly 10 albums. Only two are missing, thank goodness! (Check the outputs for more info). My 8th album, Mantra Marx, was exhibited at Neon Arts Festival 2019 in Dundee for which I received a grant. However, what I love now is teaching, more than  live performance. I started teaching drums at the age of 25 and I never stopped. Now I teach:

drums, experimental percussion, music history and music theory in Italian, English, Spanish, Mandarin... not bad, right?
